It scored 6/6/6 in AV-TEST's latest round. Our checker could not load Norton's own plan page, so confirm device counts, backup size and renewal price on Norton's site before buying.

Kaspersky Premium also scored 6/6/6. But in the United States, the Bureau of Industry and Security barred Kaspersky from new agreements with US persons from 20 July 2024 and from providing antivirus signature and codebase updates in the US from 29 September 2024. - Renewal price, not just the first year. Introductory discounts are common; Bitdefender's own terms say renewal may cost more.
- Device and platform count. Count phones and tablets, not just computers.
- The extras you will really use. A capped VPN or a password manager you will not adopt adds little value.
- Availability where you live. Kaspersky is the obvious example, but plans and prices vary by country.
